Gary Tomchuk, President
Gary is a pioneer in the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) market, bringing together 24 years of experience in marketing, business development, sales, technology and management. As CEO of Ethical Markets Media he led the launch of the first national weekly television series reporting on issues of redefining success in terms of sustainability and social consciousness. Gary has a vast network of strategic relationships which he has developed since he founded Awareness Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in integrated health, personal growth and natural products in 1995. Business plans he has written have helped raise over $5 million in funding, and the acquisition of several companies. Gary has served as Director of CSRwire, a corporate social responsibility newswire service. He was a cofounder of BroadcastHealth.com; a leader in producing video for web streaming and broadcast and was responsible for their production, content and business development. He served as COO of Passionate Living Media a television, print, radio and internet media company. He has also worked with companies such as Healthy.com, Deepak Chopra’s MyPotential.com, Akesis Naturals, ConvergenceHealth, Bamboo EcoResort, Whole Life Expos and Media, and Peter Pan Entertainment (now Inspired Media). He has organized, produced, and promoted major events such as the Healthy Living Expo, and worked with many notable leaders. Gary brings to LOHAS the skills he earned in the computer industry, where he won industry recognition, including two PC Magazine's Editors Choice Awards. His efforts contributed to the growth of Syncro Corporation to #173 on the Inc. 500. Specialties include start-up specialist, building social enterprise structures, business modeling, operations systems, branding, marketing plans and programs.
Carol Nicholson Kriegel, Secretary/Treasurer
Carol is currently with International Marketing Company which specialized in Natural Products, Healthcare, Fitness, Wellness products and services. IMC is well known for their branding expertise, packaging and helping new companies get established in a very competitive marketplace. Carol is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of marketing and advertising expertise. One of her greatest strengths is developing key strategic alliances for her clients, creating innovative packaging and advertising programs that deliver sales. She has been involved with corporate sales DVD's, infomercials, radio spots and television programming. Her specialties include Dietary Supplements, Natural Products, Organic food products, Healthcare, Fitness and Wellness.
Stephanie Rudat
Stephanie both co-founded and serves as the Executive Director of Alliance of Youth Movements - a global resource to available to anyone that peacefully wants to affect change using technology. Alliance of Youth Movements launched by convening an inaugural summit including participation from youth leaders of pioneering movements pushing against violent extremism and oppression from 15 countries and 5 continents. Their best practices were synthesized into a multilingual field manual on using technology available online and offline to affect change. Additionally, a host of brief how-to instructional videos and wiki guides are amongst the tools accessible online at www.AllianceofYouthMovements.org. Future events and tools are currently in development. Stephanie’s relationship with Nourish America was ignited by her personal experience in having natural alternatives to conventional medical care save her from remaining tragically scarred from a fire. Not long after, Stephanie joined the Nourish America board knowing, for certain, that nutritional supplementation was a necessary and effective way to help people live healthier, more productive lives. Her commitment to Nourish America stems from the firm belief that healthier people create a healthier world – in every context.
Stephanie Rudat is a principle-centered businesswoman who advises on various types of investments for her broad clientele and steers nonprofits toward an effective and impactful existence. Her diverse experience extends to real estate sales, intricate involvement in growing a variety of nonprofit organizations, past experience in the film industry and as a purveyor of fine art. In the area of real estate, Stephanie has represented everyone from first time homebuyers to substantial investors while serving properties valued up to the tens of millions through much of Southern California. She finds joy in consulting on property development from designing floor plans that are saleable to finishes that are on the cutting edge. Following a childhood dream, Stephanie ensued a career in the film industry while earning her degree from the Cecil B. DeMille School of Film and Television at Chapman University. She spent several years working on acclaimed projects produced by Playtone Pictures for Academy & Emmy Award winners, Tom Hanks & Gary Goetzman. Later, she participated in developing Garth Brooks’ production company, Red Strokes Entertainment. The eldest of three children, Stephanie was raised by parents who have lead their family by example by encouraging selfless involvement in the community. She is a member of California Women’s Leadership Association and Gen Next - a collection of likeminded, forward thinking leaders working toward long term solutions for generational issues including economic growth, education and international security. Stephanie volunteers at any opportunity a serves as a board member for a several of organizations including Nourish America, Full Court Peace, Young Entrepreneurs of America and Rescue Humanity.
Alissa Sears
Alissa is the Global Betterment Activities Director at Christie Communications a full service public relations and marketing agency dedicated to serving ethical companies internationally and a pioneer in the field of utilizing their Organic Marketing methodology to promote ethical business worldwide, further develop standards for ethical entrepreneurship, and business ethics. Alissa is deeply involved in social, environmental, and solution-oriented programs engaging companies internationally to address domestic and international issues of health & nutrition, human rights, access to clean drinking water, the facilitation of local industries & entrepreneurial development, promotion and preservation of environmental resources, and educational development programs. Alissa sits on the boards of the CAN-DO Organization (www.can-do.org), Safe Water International (www.safewaterintl.org), The Chad Relief Foundation, and is actively involved in numerous other organizations dedicated to effectively improving conditions in society.
